Andrea + Gary // Nashville Engagement

He has a dry sense of humor, and she is a dancer - making for an engagement session full of movement and laughter! I've been known to suggest locations that seem out of the ordinary, but I really love changing it up and shooting in different places. I'm so glad Andrea and Gary were into the idea of doing their session under a bridge, because the lighting was perfect and the neutral wash of a concrete backdrop means the attention is on the important things ... you know, like love and stuff.

Carter + Molly // Wedding

Molly and Carter's wedding day was beautiful and intimate - they started their wedding day getting ready with family and their closest friends, had their ceremony at The Hermitage Chapel, and celebrated at Holland House! Some of my personal favorite touches throughout the day were the generational wedding dresses hung up, worn by the bride's mom and grandmother, the gorgeous florals designed and crafted by family, and the hot cocoa and Christmas peppermint shot glasses set-up outside the chapel for a post ceremony toast to the couple!

A beautiful day - XO

Tim + Anna | North Carolina Engagement

Ringing in the New Year with an Engagement session I shot for Tim and Anna while in North Carolina! Winding through the Smokies, out to Max Patch (on the Appalachian Trail!), was so great - we got lost, found our way, swapped stories, and hiked up to this look-out point for a view that had us all wide-eyed and quiet for the first time in an hour and a half.

WOW.

Also, could they be sweeter with one another? I love spending my time with couples like Tim and Anna, and I'm so excited to come back to this side of the Smokies in June for their wedding!

"We Are All Mad Here" - Mad Hatter

Merry Christmas, Friends!

Since 2012, we've pulled together a shoot before Christmas for our family card - and yes, much to everyone's surprise, we include our "ROOMIE!!" ... and to the chagrin of others, the cats. I'll leave the previous years below, so you can see our progression into madness.
